RodneyBad Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 For the price he's asking he could have at least posted the photo the right way... Maybe that's way it is soo spendy. Wrong box.
martinfan5 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 But least you get free shipping , there is a seller on ebay that all of the kits listed the photos are reversed
cobraman Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I buy a lot of my stuff off ebay. You can't beat the selection but some people do ask way too much for their stuff. You have to find fairly priced items without a high shipping price. There are bargins to be had.

Rob McKee Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Isn't that the same guy who wanted that much for the Lindberg 66 Chevelle kit? I wonder why he wastes his time and money. Does he actually get a sucker who pays that much?

Does he actually get a sucker who pays that much? I think you can list for free, I know I have never had to pay to list on ebay, just had to pay photo fees, then the selling fee, the being a human fee, and so on Yes its the same seller, take a look at all his other kit listing's, he really has no idea about what to sell them for http://www.ebay.com/sch/Toys-Hobbies-/220/i.html?item=190627843792&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&_sac=1&hash=item2c624e0ed0&_ssn=codyp2000 Edited April 13, 2012 by martinfan5

Yes its his kit and he can ask whatever he wants i get that just do not think hell get any bidders......

I dont think people are complaining about the price's , just pointing out when a seller trying to sell a dime a dozen kit at collector price's, thats all
Darren B Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Thats what i meant 75.00 for a kit that probably wouldnt go any higher than 30.00 at a streatch, to me anyway is nuts, but who knows maybe some body will go for it who knows.....
niteowl7710 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 There is a "Best Offer" button on all of those auctions, no one is being forced to submit to the BiN price he's set. Clearly the guy got a collection or part of a collection when he got some set of baseball cards (which he's clearly more familiar with), and he's just set a BiN for his auctions since he has no idea what he has, or what it's worth. Offer him $15 for it, and see what happens.
Darren B Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Good point night owl and good idea on the bin auction.
Junkman Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 He is thinking that every day 12 complete idiots walk by his house and he only has to catch one of them. I guess he is right.
Austin T Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 This guy and Pj-toys do the same thing,It just annoys the living daylights out of me.

While I agree with you Austin, You can't let that annoy you life is too short! Let's get back to model building! Edited April 13, 2012 by Wheels
Drake69 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 One last, interesting detail many miss when buying from fleaBay. Anyone else notice that a kit marked down to $10.00 usually has a shipping price of anywhere from $10 ~ $15?!?! Even if it's in the home state?!?! Yeah. It costs that much for a flipping package to get to me 3 counties over. This is why I smart bid fleaBay on only the rarer and more worthwhile stuff.
Maindrian Pace Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 The guy has 31,000+ current auctions. He obviously doesn't know the value of these kits, so he's just casting many, many lines to see what he catches. Pretty common there. -MJS

Generally it was (I say was because I think Ebay has counteracted this now) because Ebay didn't have a fee on the shipping price, so people would put a low price for the item, and a higher price for shipping.
