Joe Handley Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I actually used one of those computers my freshman year in highschool Andy, two years later the school had bought the early modern Windows computers..........
martinfan5 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I will sometimes come on here with my BlackBerry Torch 9850
Junkman Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I'm going to upgrade my '75 Rover V8 to electronic ignition. Does this count?
RobRus Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) I am a geek to the core but I do not (or will not) carry a phone so I don't use one. I find it extremely rude to be talking to someone in person and the next thing you know they are talking on the phone or worse texting someone. I have 3 pc's on my desk 2 Linux boxes (one is a laptop) and a Windowz box. The Windows box is pretty much used only for working in 3D Studio which will not run under Linux (yet). As far as visiting forums on a mobil device, my wife has a Kindle and I have used it to get to the forums I frequent when we are visiting her parents but I don't care too much for the small screen. It works just great but these old eyes don't see as well as they use to. And forget about trying to type on it with my fat fingers. Edited April 15, 2012 by RobRus
tabsscale1 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Don't have anything but a desktop and a laptop to do anything with the internet.I'm a little bit old fashoned as the cel phone should be used as that. A phone to make calls. Could care less about all that other stuff.

cruz Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I don't have any kind of issues with the size of my Droid, these things have much better resolution than any desk or laptop and when I want to see a better picture I just pinch and enlarge. This is not intended as mobile deivce bashing but I much prefer this 19 inch monitor hooked up to my old fashioned tower. I just don't know how you can enjoy pics and stuff squinting at a phone and those tablet things are only slightly better. A friend was showing me her new granddaughter on her phone. Well I guess she's cute but I would be able to tell alot better if the pic was on that computer monitor over there (3 feet away from us). My wife and I were discussing this today and I said our generation was always being told we would loose our hearing because of the loud music we listened too. This generation is going to loose it's eyesight squinting at all these mobile devices. As I said not meant to be bashing. I'm really glad these things work out for you guys but for me I'll take this 19 in screen anyday.
groo12 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I use my IPad often to surf this forum. My pc to upload pictures because I havent worked out how to do it from my IPad, yet. Tomorrow I am getting a new phone and will naturally try that as well. Next tech purchase will be a MacBook something or other as I have started developing apps.
groo12 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I post almost exclusively with my iPad now. I have an app for Photobucket, so it's incredibly easy to post pics. Glad I read that.
hotrod59f100 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) iPad 2 for me and the photobucket app is my best friend for pics. Edited April 15, 2012 by hotrod59f100
Dr. Cranky Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 There are rumors that Apple stock (currently floating at around 500-600) is going to reach 1000 a share pretty soon, in case any of you are into gambling on the stock market.
jaydar Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I access via a nook color! I connect on the house wireless. This lets me get on from anywhere including the patio. Joe

For 5-600 I'd rather buy an old Morris from a Tom or Geoff in the neighborhood, do a bit of tinkering, add some spares I got from a Ted or Mick in the neighborhood, then sell it to some jerkster who ran into loot at the stockmarket for 1000 or so. Or better, 3000.
BOSWELL891 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 My hp laptop when I'm at home and my iPhone when I'm out and about
martinfan5 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 (edited) If I come on here using my BB, I only read, as its to much a pain to reply, there is a mobile version, but lets say you want to go to the last page of a thread, well you have to go thru each page to get there. charlie8575 Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I use my computer. I don't have, or want, all the rest of the electronic junk that's out-of-date and obsolete between rushing home from paying obscenely high amounts of money for it and opening the box. I still shoot film. I prefer a telephone with metal chassis and compenents, and heav(ier) wires and magnets. I still use a typewriter for a lot of things. I do my drafting with pencil. I try to not become so overly-dependent on computer and other modern electronics that when something happens, you become paralyzed. My friends laugh at me. Until it happens to them. Charlie Larkin
