Kaleb Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Have a show coming up this Saturday, and I have lost the driver mirror to my 1:12 mustang. I had set it aside and it has vanished.I have nearly turned the room upside down and can't find it again. It's been a few weeks since I seen it last. Ok now I'm done venting I'll go again and look later. Just got to get my wife to get her car done for this show.
LAone Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 that suck bro. i would look in the least expected place that you would find it. like under the table legs, behind the work bench in a space that you didnt see before...ect. good luck.

I drop a piece, I look everywhere and can't find it. Then a day or two later, I see it laying right there on the floor in plain sight. Weird...
Ben Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Make sure you check the obvious like inside the car or in the box. You never know!
Austin T Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 vacuum cleaner and pantyhose,Best way to find lost parts
1272148 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 If you don't find it some companies offer a replacement policy for lost peices or parts that were somehow omitted during the injection molding process
Kaleb Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 It's been built for a few months, I took it to a show and tell at a club meeting, it landed somehow in our car and I took it inside. Now I think the carpet monster got it.
cobraman Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Your not alone brother. I have lost parts several times in my many years of building. Good luck finding it and good luck at the show.
Erik Smith Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Look in the best light/brightest spot. It's probably not there, but it would be easier to see.
HotRodaSaurus Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 vacuum cleaner and pantyhose,Best way to find lost parts Sound a bit kinky that, vacuuming in pantyhose, I usually wear stockings when modelling. OOps , I think you mean put the hose over the vacuum hose

If I drop something on the floor, I turn off the lights and get out the flashlight, like they do on CSI....Works everytime...
Dr. Cranky Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Joshua, this is why I keep watch parts around. When this happens to me, I put together a nice little mirror and usually it looks better than it's plastic cousin.
Kaleb Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 Well I've looked everywhere, and even went to the point of scratching one up. That.....well it didn't turn out too well, but the bright side of that I have a sweet design for a 1:12 mirror lol.
Kaleb Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 No animals here. I figure it's a lost cause. When I build another mustang I'll build some mirrors for it and put the stock one on the one I have now.
