sportandmiah Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Here's a few cars I finished over the past 6 months. Hope you like!
Chuck Most Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Like them all, but love that '61. First time I've seen the kit's custom front end actually put to use.

rmvw guy Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I love the simple VW Beetle and '61 Ford is nice in this form. Nice clean job on all of them Doug.

DumpyDan Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 NICE WORK! But this is all you have done in six months............Maybe in the next 6 months you can get something done...........LOL
Dr. Cranky Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I love those Corvettes. Wonderful, beautiful work. Thank you.
Sixties Sam Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Like them all, but love that '61. First time I've seen the kit's custom front end actually put to use. Ditto what he said. I never actually saw a 61 Galaxie that used that Styline nose. Very nice work on all of them! Sam
Kustom Rodder Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Nice clean builds really like the 61 also great job.
LoneWolf15 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Doug , Very clean builds , nice smooth paint ! Great work , keep it rollin' !
TooOld Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 They all are great looking builds . For some reason I'm drawn to the VW Beetle ! Nice .
sportandmiah Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 Thanks fellas for the kind words. The Tamiya Beetle went together flawlessly as Tamiyas do. The 53 Corvette was the opposite; when the chassis met the body, the car sat higher than a Hum-v. The fit and finish was ridiculously terrible, hence the absence of an engine and suspension. The tires and wheels are glued to the chassis. The AMT Galaxie was my first build using custom parts...ill post some different pics soon. The purple pie wagon had doors before paint but scribing went a little too far. The paint jobs all employed Ye Olde Yost method.
peter31a Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Wow! That's quite a variety of cars. Each and every one of them well done. I especially like the Corvette being a Ron Fellows fan as well. And I have a soft spot for VDubs...
935k3 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 They are all great models. I especially love the bug, I had one in high school which I promptly rolled in the school parking lot doing donuts. I have that kit and I am curious what paint did you use for the body it looks like a very accurate color.
sportandmiah Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 I think I painted the Beetle with Boyds Pacific Blue? I think. Here's a few pics of the Galaxies as requested.
