Once again thank you all for your complements. they mean a lot when they are coming from fellow builders. Jason I will post some pics for you to see here soon. Mike I give credit where credit is due. But the Grill nuts and bolts and pinstrip are only 1% of this build. The nuts & Bolts no one sees them since they are so small but I know they are there, I could of put one of the many grill this kit comes with and the pinstrip was just the cherry on the cake. The long hours on all the fabrication the cutting everything to open hinging the doors hood trunk pancaking the hood roll panning the front and back bumper making the custom frenched double light and and back lights spliting the doors in half filling in the body so the doors will line up making all the custom interior to match the outside and all the custom work on the frame to lay this car on the ground the finish work in the body prep, primer, base, flake, candy is hard to do, this is all my work and their is plenty more. when someone buys a model car, truck or plane they always get aftermarket parts for it including the the model. its all part of the game. the hard part is building it and putting it together. If you chose to make it out of the box thats fine and thats what they do. Me The first thing that gets thrown away are the instructions cause thats doing it their way. I love taking something they made and make it my own.

Anthony thanks for clarifying. I hope you didn't find my comment disrespectful, it wasn't supposed to be. It's super nice and it's good to see you build a smaller scale again. The paint is dazzling. Most impressive sir.

This is just insane Bro! :o it's not hard to see why this amazing build took gold ! the working gull wings doors alone can justify that choice. :P

I see a tribute to Charlie Lopez Merc but i can be wrong... some details from that wild Merc from the days

The Pinstipping by David anthony is just unreal... :o

Thank you Ira Mike and Zed for the comlements My friends. Mike none taken, It's all good. Zed I took the inspiration from Charlie Lopez But changed up the gull wings and made them full doors. I wanted to put spokes on it also but that would of put me in the lowrider catagory and I think it was more custome. I have a few more crazy Mercs on the table that will be just as crazy.

Anthony.... I wanted to say what a pleasure it was to see this build first hand at the Desert Scale Classic last month. It is truly a work of art and really appreciate you telling me how you did your pin striping. you do some killer work and I look forward to seeing more of your future builds as well as seeing you at next years Desert Scale Classic as well. This ride deserved the awards that it got at the DSC. Nice work man!

Well said. After viewing this post I went and did some research to see what the original car looked like and as impressed as I was with the original car, I have to say that your shuttle changes made the car. I agree with Zed, it's more a tribute then a clone.
