Model Masters/Testors did that particular body style in resin. I think it was called the Screechasaurus or something similar. It was curbside and strictly custom, and to my understanding, was probably the biggest chunk of resin ever molded for a model car. I believe it was solid, with only the wheel wells cut out. The windows needed to be painted. That's the only one of that body style I've seen.

The Astro Van was introduced around 1985 and ran for nearly 20 years. It was very boxy and it took GM a few years to realize that FWD vans were the ones soccer moms wanted to drive, not some truck derivitive.

Aoshima had an Astro van, curbside I believe, and is kinda pricy. They pop up from time to time on eBay and might be available from HLJ.

The one in the first post is of a first generation Astro van, later model years had composite headlamps.

The Jimmy Flintstone resin body is the only game in town, but it's meant to be a slammer, with no interior nor underside detail. The Fujimi kit is very nicely done, but it has the '96+ interior, '95+ nose, and mid-'95+ lower body cladding, so that will all need to go for a '94.

Casey, that was me looking for the astro a month or so back. Bracket raced one for about five years. Wanted to build a model of it. Contacted Jimmy Flintstone and got an email back that said he didn't carry it anymore. My real one was an '85 cargo van with a 355 smallblock.

Here are some (not the best quality) pics I took of the Jimmy Flintstone Screechasaurus body:

The windows would have to be cut out, scratch build interior and windows, but it would work

I was just looking thru the 33! pages of "resin" listed under automotive models on eBay, and saw 1or 2 of these Flintstone Astros.

Now searching specifically for it/them, I can't find 'em!

No problem, glad I found it!

I think that's the only one on there right now, but do a "saved search" for screechosorus and eBay will email you when one comes up...had I known, the same vendor that's been at the last three shows I attended had one, pretty cheap (I think $15-20) :(
