I have used it plenty of times and I have had good results with it. Don't know about using it over flat enamal however. You may want to do a test on a plastic spoon or a scrap of the plastic your model came with.

I've used Modelmaster Wet Look Clear over Testors flat enamel, and it worked just fine. This is the dash from a test shot of the upcoming Moebius '56 Chrysler 300B that I completed about a week ago. On the factory stock car, the entire interior is upholstered in a mix of natural cowhide and matching vinyl "imitation" leather, AND the lower part of the dashboard is painted a matching shade of gloss tan with the center section in gloss black.

I airbrushed Testors "Flat Beige" (from the little square bottle) first, then masked off the top of the dash and the center section, airbrushed those with Tamiya Semi-Gloss lacquer. After drying these colors in my food dehydrator (about 2 weeks at room temperature will do very much the same thing), I masked off the Semi-Gloss Black on the top panel of the dash (yeah, the tape slipped as you can see, but that got touched up with a fine brush and more of the semi-gloss black after this pic was taken!), and airbrushed some Modelmaster Wet Look Clear lacquer over the entire lower face of the dash--it worked quite well, as you can see.

I think the key here is to make certain that the flat finish enamel paint needs to be completely dry before using Modelmaster lacquer, which itself is a fairly mild lacquer--it doesn't "craze" plastic, for example. In the bargain, because this clear lacquer is literally water-clear, it didn't alter the shade of beige noticeably either.

This is flat red Testor's enamel under Testor's wet look clear right from the can....

That paint is STUNNING Marcos!  Would you be able to share a little about your painting technique?  I just picked up a can of the Wet Look Clear to try, so your build is really inspiring!

I’d love  to see more of other people’s results from using this clear too - plus any tips for using it!

This is Testors Wet-Look over Duplicolor lacquer, both shot from their respective rattlecans, with no sanding or polishing:

...and this is Wet-Look over Testors huge flake "One-Coat" lacquer, again both shot from the cans, very minimal polishing at this point (I really wish I'd known how to scribe door lines here; looking at this thing makes me cringe) :

Those look GREAT, Ace!  Do you find that this stuff lays down a little thicker, and dries a little harder, than, say, TS13?

Just doing some homework before I try it out for myself...

I personally thing it dries a little shinier than Tamiya clear.

All these were shot with it , straight out of the can. with no polishing  of any kind

Stunning builds, thanks for sharing!  Looks like you got a real nice shine with it!

and no troubles shooting it over decals, huh?

This was shot with Testors Wet Look Clear out of the can and then polished.  I sprayed it over ALPS printed decals.  I did spray the first couple of coats very lightly and waited about 30 minutes between coats.

None on any of mine.

1st make sure decals are dry . put them on a let them sit a few days

2nd the first 2 coats go on kind of light. then let it sit an hour or so  ,,then the last one or two get laid on

the Vette has maybe 5 or 6 coats on it. All over top of the decals
