RyanK Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Hello everyone my name is Ryan King and I've been out of the hobby for about 8 years. Now that the kids are getting older and we've got a routine down, I've decided that I want to get back into the hobby. I built models from a teenager up till my mid-late 20's. So I wanted to build something quick to brush up on my skills. It has been a while since I have airbrushed and built a model. I'm doing a quick build on the Revell snap type 34 Ford. Paint is Black Gold True Blue Pearl but I haven't added the clear to yet. Here is a quick mock up of the 34 Ford
RyanK Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 Here is the interior. It is pretty much done. I just added some small details.
RyanK Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 Here is a picture of the wheels and tires that I'm using. They are from the 29 Ford rat rod kit. I machined the cap out of aluminum.
Dr. Cranky Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Super cool. Great color and wonderful subject matter.
crazyjim Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Nice. Now finish it and post that SHINY :) puppy in the under glass section.
Albie D Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 All due respect to Jim, but I think it looks cool sueded out. Killer stance, great shoes, great comeback to the sport!
crazyjim Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Ryan said he has to clear it yet. To me, clear = SHINY :) . Whatever you do, Ryan, it's a nice looking build. Welcome back to the hobby.
The70judgeman Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Lookin great...simple and to the point. Sometimes less is more.
crazyjim Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I have my fingers crossed for SHINY :)

The70judgeman Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Could leave it the way it is and call it "Blue Suede"....maybe?
Sixties Sam Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Cool rod! The skull shifter and seat belt hardware in the interior are great touches. Color is cool, too. Nice work! Sam

Ace-Garageguy Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Great looking project, Ryan. The colors really make this one pop. That Willys in the background looks pretty radical and interesting too.
