Finished up my T-bird today. I must admit I am not totally happy with it. For some reason this kit fought me most of the way. I just have to try a bit harder with the next one. I wanted a cut down speedster type windshield but I over did it and cut it too far.

I like the windshield. I like the whole build. I like purple and I love SHINY :) :) :) . I have that kit in my stash. Is it a nice kit to work with?

It's not really a bad kit and is pretty well detailed. I just had some issues with building it that was not the fault of the kit but more of my building problems. For some reason I was just not in sinc while building this one. For example, after I had car painted I decided to cut down the windshield but because I didn't know I was going to do that I didn't fill the holes for the wipers. The wipers would be stupid with the low windshield so I have the holes. Still trying to decide what to do about them. I could have done a better job.

Man, you crank out models like it was your job or something. Its easy to find fault with your own kits.(some of mine get thrown against the wall) but thats why there's always the next one. Looks good from here.

Thanks guys. My next build will be.... dare I say it ? A Chevy ! Yea, I'm a Ford man but I really do like a little bit of everything and enjoy looking at any well build model reguardless of brand. 62 Impala next on the bench.

Put some little chrome nubbies on/in the wiper holes. That's what most folks do on 1:1 customs. Bart.....BTW, Excellent build. Even a Mopar guy would be proud to have this on his shelf!

Bart's suggestion of the "Chrome Nubbies" would be the perfect solution to your wiper hole problem. I have to agree with John; it's a great looking model, and I'm not even a Ford guy. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Chevy man, but like you, I'll look at any well-executed model. (Your T-Bird is surely well-executed!) Like you, I sometimes build models other than my favorite brand. My most recent completed model was a Dodge, and I have two more Mopars on my worktable at the moment!

Really a good looking build and the winshield looks very good. Sometimes as builders we are to hard on ourselves....Slusher

I like this wild bird . Contempory , absolutly corerect for in the day . The windscreen is just right as many of the other details . Customs had , along with Racing Cars had low glass for lower wind resistance . Fill the holes with chrome buttons . Or do dads if you prefer . Thanx ..
