chris_thobe Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I only have a few that have been finished since I got back into building. I took a break for a few years, but have recently gotten back into it pretty heavy. Here is a 62 Pontiac Catalina that I recently finished.. Went with a 70's style lowrider. Spray can "Electric Pink" base on the bottom, HOK "Orion Silver" on the roof with a couple light patterns.
chris_thobe Posted July 9, 2012 Author Posted July 9, 2012 Here is my 51 Chevy cruiser. Went with some chrome steelies and thin whitewalls. Tall floor shifter, 3 switches mounted under the dash for the air ride. Spray can copper, with 3 colors of automotive pearls faded in and out, topped with automotive clear.
chris_thobe Posted July 9, 2012 Author Posted July 9, 2012 My 49 Merc. I built this a few years ago. Its just a quick rat rod build. Satin black on wide white walls.

Harry P. Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Chris, I complemented you on your beautiful models in this thread but someone deleted my post. It wasn't me. Your complimentary post was accompanied by a smart-alec comment aimed at the forum and the moderators, and was deleted.
mikemodeler Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Awesome paint jobs, even the satin black Merc! Nice details and thanks for sharing.
