oldscool Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Want opinions on which would look better. Decal this way: or this way:
iBorg Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Neither.....The decal looks too modern for this old school build. Pin stripping would be a better choice. Mike
Harry P. Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Neither.....The decal looks too modern for this old school build. Pin stripping would be a better choice. Mike Agreed.
oldscool Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) Well...I was going for the old drag car/show rod look that was popular back then. I thought the decal sort of fit that theme. Doesn't it give it an Ala Kartish look? Edited July 15, 2012 by oldscool
hemi Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Build it your way, opinions are like.....Well you know the rest.LOL...If i were to use one of those decals Id go with the second pic. But I agree pinstipping would look best.
Miserable Soul Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 1st pic, .....the lines flow best in that pic
cobraman Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 If your going to use it at all i think the sharp end facing forward is the way to go.
Draggon Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Not those decals. That is such a beautiful vintage build, it deserves totally vintage decals.I love it, dont ruin it, and ck Gregs Decal Graphics, here http://vsrnonline.com/gregsdecalgraphics/VintageKitDecalsStaticKits/Mono_PC65_SizzlerDragster-Display.jpg
SSNJim Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'm going to say the second pic. It looks like it's funnelling the power of the twin engines back to the rear end/driver. There's a nice visual flow from front to rear.
FASTBACK340 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Agreed. Some old-school Von Dutch style pinstripes would work better, IMO.
