my80malibu Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Excellent the SWC willys is one of my favorites and now this model is one of my favorites now too
Bad Apple Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 (edited) Thanks guys! I Love Willys coupes and for some reason, even though they aren't great kits, i love the old Revell HotRod series Willys coupes and pickups kits. With a little time and effort these can be very nice finished kits, i have a bunch of them and always looking to buy more! Edited July 29, 2012 by Bad Apple
dimebolt Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Awesome job on the SWC Willys. The Mopar in the bg looks like it's pretty awesome also. Corey

Corey That's a glue bomb restoration that i got from a member here, i'm using parts box pieces for the resto and the paint is what i had left over from the Willys. Still trying to figure out an intake and exhaust for it, i'm having trouble getting any headers to fit right.
gtx6970 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) My likey Color looks dead on I remember trying to build one of the Revell kits back in the day and never did get it to look good. I think I ended up using it as crash scene fodder, after the glue fire of course. Edited July 31, 2012 by gtx6970
Burnout Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Nice work. That kit brings back some ancient memories.
Phildaupho Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 What paint did you use for the exterior? Great model of one of my all time favorite cars.

Bad Apple Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 This is the Mopar in the background, not much detail just a basic build, still have a few things to do to finish it up.

gtx6970 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Well done. Never been a huge 'gasser class' fan , but that car is on my bucket list to do.
Bad Apple Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 Thanks for all the compliments guys! I have built a bunch of these Willys since i was a kid but i must say this one came out the best and is my favorite out of all of them! Still need to find a parachute for it though, that's why i don't have any pics. of the back of it.
