Nick Winter Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Got this Partially started, wanted to finish it, I painted some stuff and added a few personal touches. I like it, looks good with the box, and on my shelf. Nick
Greg Pugh Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 This was one of my first models as a kid. Mine didn't turn out anything like this though. Lol
slusher Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 You did a very nice job on that classic kit. well done.

mikemodeler Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Looks good Nick! Like Marty said, your builds keep getting better, you are definitely improving your skills and eye for details!
crazyjim Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Nice and SHINY :) . May I suggest just a wash on the cowl vent?
Nick Winter Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Thanks Everyone, Jim, that was one of the things I can't take responsibility for, the car's body was already painted, I foiled it and Added the decals, then polished it out, the front & rear bumpers also were already done.
Dominik Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Good job Nick, good job! looks like it jumped out of the boxcover! Well done!
turn1wonder Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 That kit has a tough hood hinge to get just right and you did it. I also built this kit years ago and at the moment it has been stripped and re painted but not assembled, now I'll have to refer to your build when I put it back together Bob
Jantrix Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Those kits were one of my favorites when i was a kid. I've wanted to build one again for a long while. Nice work. I like it alot.
rustybill1960 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 One awesomely sweet build Nick! Very sharp clean build indeed! I really like the valve cover detailing, how did you do it? Thank You for sharing Later Russ
Nick Winter Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Thank you Everyone Russell, I Started by taking the chrome plated valve cover and coating it in Testors Acrylic Orange, I then rubbed the paint off the fins with a tooth pick
Olskoolrodder Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Oooooooh MAN that brings back memories!!! Nicely built
