Here's a picture of my Corvail-powered Myers Manx. When I lived in Coronado, CA, a few blocks from my house was a Corvair-powered Myers Manx with torq-Thrust wheels. It was also a metalflake green and I always loved that car.

Here's my version in 1/25th scale.

The Corvair engine was from an AMT parts pack. I used the seats from a Revell '41 Willys kit since the kit seats appeared way too small. A fun build.

Really cool, and brings back memories. When I was in the Ga.Tech Sports Car Club back in '69 or '70, a guy had a seriously lowered Meyers Manx with a Corvair 140 in the tail. Blisteringly fast slalom car, with Goodyear Bluestreak Indy-car rear tires. I don't think it was ever beaten.

All the right stuff and Green . You have me there ! You did your homework , nice build . Corvair Power was popular then . 630 gaskets to leak was problematic was the downside . Thanx ..

Finally! Someone built one of these things with the RIGHT engine! None of this VW corn-popper power for this serious beach buggy! A Studebaker may be a bear's natural environment, but ol' Kermie will be right at home in this bright green, Corvair-powered pond-hopper...and I'm sure Miss Piggy will love being seen in it too! This car is a real looker.

(BTW: I agree with the comments above - More pics, please, especially the engine!)

Trying to post additional pictures but I don;t seem to be able to upload using the sites photo uploaders. This is frustrating. It worked yesterday but won't work today. ARGGGG!

Photobucket is no different than Fotki which I already have.

Let's try again. I may be on to something. Image size seems to be the major factor that causes problems with my uploads. I reduced the image size and they upload easily. I was well below the stated upper limit for size but they would not upload.

Wheels were truned aluminum rims from Detail Master with resin centers from Scale Auto Details. Roll bar is polished solder. I used the turbocharged version of the Corvair engine.

Rge body was airbrushed with Testor's Mystic Emerald Green One Coat that was cut 1:1 with Dupli-Color lacquer thinner.
