This was originally done to replicate a friends car. 1970 Charger R/T 440 4spd. I originally built this about 10-12 years ago. 1st summer show it went to to the body got so warped it was junk.

So, This is the 2nd time it's been built. as the 1st time the body was ruined by letting it sit in the sun on the console of the actual car.

The body was replaced this past spring and most of it's just stuck back together , which is why the glass isn't in right, hood sits to low and the tail light panel sticks out just a bit.

My plan is to repair the issues this winter and give it to the owner of the car it replicates.

This is an original MPC body and interior combined with the newer AMT chassis and running rear.

Yea! Always nice to see a '70 Charger on here. I've always considered them to be the best looking of the '68-'70s, although I swear I'm the only guy on the planet who can't stand those things at the leading edge of the doors.

As for your build, the paint's sharp, the interior looks dead-on, the substitute chassis is a major upgrade and the engine bay rocks.

All in all, a very nicely done job on an all-too-rare car (You listening, Revell?)

One note: If by any chance everything's not solidly glued together, you may want to check on that windshield.

Thanks, It's just set back together for now to keep all the pieces in one place. Plan is to take it apart maybe this fall/winter and actually glue it all back together then give it to the 1-1 cars owner as a Xmas gift. He's a really good friend of mine and has been for years.
