jamesG Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 looks great but if you still don't like it give it to your sister she'll love you for it.
Terry Sumner Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Ummmm....if this isn't even close to your best model would you mind throwing up a photo or two of what your best is? Cuz this one is pretty darn good!!!!
catpack68 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 looks great tommy!!! i like the color and vinyl top i have a AMT 67 camaro i started several years ago with a revell 69 camaro kit chassis and drivetrain.after seeing yours done,i might have to finish it up.
Ron Hamilton Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 You did a wonderful job on this one. I agree with all of your comments concerning the AmT '67 Camaro tooling. I built one years ago, and modified the daylights out of it. Now, I have a couple of the original AMT '67 Camaros to work over, one a pace car, and the second, who knows?
tyrone Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 hey Tommy I just went back through these pics again and I noticed the 96 rock tag on the front... I remember we had that radio station here in Augusta way back when... where is Canton located ????
roadhawg Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) Thanks again, everybody. I wasn't even going to post it, but Lee (Midnightprowler) talked me into it. Trust me, though, the pictures are very kind to it! hey Tommy I just went back through these pics again and I noticed the 96 rock tag on the front... I remember we had that radio station here in Augusta way back when... where is Canton located ???? Canton is north of Atlanta, but I didn't move here until a few years ago. We grew up and cruised in Athens, where my dad ran a garage/service station. 96 Rock was WKLS in Atlanta, and EVERYBODY had a 96 Rock tag on their car, lol. Edited September 20, 2012 by roadhawg
Guest Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 2 pages and 32 responses later, aren't you glad I did? Your work should be in the pages of either MCM or SA!
oldnslow Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Great Looking Camaro! I remember these from high school, Road Hugger tires were my tire of choice in the 70's for my Nova, G60 fronts and H60 rears. But one thing, please put some brakes on it before your sister takes it out for a spin, wouldn't want her to get hurt.
crazyjim Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Nice. Very nice. And I like the SHINY :)
Jim Whalen Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Hi, Really nice build of the Camaro - taking a kit making something unique & has meaning out of it is a very enjoyable aspect of our hobby. It is also a good example of how we are our own worst critics - the build is top notch. Cheers, Jim
Brudda Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 When I was a kid I used to collect the advertisements on new cars, like in the news papers or mags. I saw a camaro and I was in love. I saw this build and I had the same feeling again. WOW! A really nice build and thanks for the great feelings again.
The70judgeman Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Not the biggest Camaro fan, but you say flawed....I say WOW. Looks pretty clean to me.
W-Machine Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Your Camaro looks fantastic! No wonder your sister is so thrilled with it.
