Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) I want to thank Darin B for posting this picture over in FB and the RAT FINK for the vision and wisdom, always: I hope this is another inspirational thread where everyone will feel free to share their work in progress but ONLY in PRIMER. Yes, show us your WIPs in PRIMER. Thank you. Edited October 7, 2012 by Dr. Cranky
GerN Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 What a great idea! Especially because I never seem to get past the primer stage. Almost all the creative work is done by then (I've never done other than a single color), and a new slice-and-dice custom becomes irresistible.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Gerald, I hope we are not the only ones who love styrene in primer. I've always loved watching the primer tables at the shows. Primer IS that blank canvas that feeds the imagination. Of course, the other is naked styrene, but there's something exciting about PRIMER, right?
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Here's one that I still remember very fondly:
Wicky Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) " cars always look good in primer because they still have potential " that is sooooo true . the only thing I have near the bench at the moment that has primer on it is this ... Edited October 7, 2012 by Wicky

cobraman Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Somebody likes long roofs. That" Nova Nomad" is a very cool idea. I would love to see it when it's finished.
jcbigpaw Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Some of us love primer even as a finished product. It seems every time I go to a car show I much more attracted to the primer jobs whether its a WIP or finished product.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Here's one I actually finished later.....hard to believe, I know.
