TooOld Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 The MPC '74 'cuda had a custom nose piece included . I'm trying to find one to take a photo of it .
gtx6970 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Found this on Ebay completed lsitings ( not mine btw) It might be close, but I don't think it's the same as the sonic cuda nose . but I think it could be modified without to much trouble http://www.ebay.com/itm/MPC-1974-cuda-orig-parts-kit-/150896341192?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item23221f70c8&nma=true&si=%2FlBK%2BYElLJ7g5He8zIBIINCr9C0%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Intmd8r Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 (edited) Has anyone ever cast any of these Dodge, and Plymouth concept cars? I thought that I read somewhere that the Sonic Cuda was a privately owned, custom built show car, not a Chrysler concept. The huge aftermarket blower sticking through the hood would also support that theory. Either way, I like it! I wonder what ever happened to this machine...... Edited October 30, 2012 by Intmd8r

I believe it was in fact Mopar designed / Chuck Miller built ( I think it was a design exercise and was supposed to travel around with the RTS cars ) , then went to private ownership later on ( early 70's) And the last I heard the car still exists and is in Michigan PS, there also was the RTS Cuda and is / was a different car
Rob Hall Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Neat custom...speaking of custom Mopies, I've always wanted to build an MPC '72 Road Runner w/ the custom parts. My '72 is build stock and was missing the custom parts when I bought it.
dimebolt Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 Cool, thanks for the responses guys. I read somewhere that, while this isn't the same Cuda as the one in the RTS display, it was built by the same person, in almost the same manner. I believe that the RTS Cuda had wheelie bars sticking through the exhaust cutouts, among other things. Corey
dimebolt Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 This is the only pic I can find of the RTS Cuda. I saw an article around 1990/91 that had a picture of this Cuda on display with the other RTS showcars. Corey
gtx6970 Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 This is all I have on the RTS Cuda Maybe it's this one that I am thinking still exists and is in MI. ???????

dimebolt Posted November 4, 2012 Author Posted November 4, 2012 Awesome Roger!!! That's a cool little article. I've wanted to find more on this car for a long time. Thanks man. Corey
jbwelda Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 note it said the zoomies and blower were cosmetic, i guess that means there is a carb inside the blower body ala ed big daddy roth. and of course the zoomies are cosmetic or there would be flames coming out of those puppies in the nighttime photography.
dimebolt Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 I'd still love to have it just because of how unique it looks. Corey
scale trucker Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 the rts cuda is owened by the same guy who bought the duster a few years back out of a parking garage in ny where it sat parked for years..

dimebolt Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 Steve Juliano? I hope he's doing better. I don't know how he's doing. Last I read on him, his health is declining, but that's been a few months ago. Hope he is pulling through ok. Corey

Steve Juliano does own the RTS duster mentioned. He found it in a long term parking garge in Detroit area. I do not believe he owns or has ever owned the RTS Cuda Or the Sonic Cuda
jjsipes Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) How about the Chrysler Norseman that never made the shores of the United States from Ghia? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Norseman http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=chrysler+norseman&qs=ds&form=QBIR# Edited January 29, 2013 by jjsipes
Tom Geiger Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I started this one a while back, looking for a Chrysler show car look. Note that I enlarged the rear window for an earlier Barracuda look. I was planning on using the custom nose from the '74 annual release that did make it into the snap kit.
