R&D Unique went under a couple of years ago . I did manage to buy one of his his last . There was a note in the box stating this . That's how I know . A '50 Pontiac Sedan ; RDU-2888 . I missed out on the Mini Exotics Cobra Coupe and '70 Shelby Mustang Ragtop . At missing Link , Kevin is in process of a '70

Javelin kit . Thanx ..

Thanks for your additions John, they've been placed on the list. I'm aware of R&D's status. I bought several of their Kits and White Metal accessories just prior to their demise.

I'll be watching Missing Links Pages for the '70 Javelin. It's the sole car I need to have a kit for each of the cars Mark Donohue drove in the origional TransAm.

I have a few of these Mini Exotics kits. The 67 Cougar kit is # 830 and the 68 Couger GT-E is # 832. The 427 Cobra Daytona Super Coupe is # 835. I also have the Mini Exotics R&D Unique 68 1/2 Mustang California Special RDU-2813. I bought that one a few months before he shut down.

The kits I built that I don't have the kit numbers are: 68 Shelby convertible, 70 Shelby convertible and 69 Coronet RT hardtop. I also had the Corvette Gran Sport Roadster at one time but sold it.

Looks like I've got some updating to do.

The one thing that has become apparent is the difference between between Mini Exotics and R&D Unique's part #'s is R&D places a 2 infront of the origional #.

I built a 69 Charger R/T, which was a copy of the MPC annual. This was of course before the Revell became available.

Also still have a 68 GT/E-Cougar. This one had quite a bit of bubbles in the cowl vents so I needed to get an annual body first. The grill was mastered quite nicely but cast too thin. I ended up making an own one. Wasn't too difficult. So now (after 20 years) I can finally build the GT/E

i had and built a 1/24 scale Lotus Eleven that was an improved repop of the old Merit kit. For the life of me i cannot remember who i bought this from but i know i did buy a couple of Mini Exotics transkits. could it be that i got this from Mini Exotics? i do not see it listed above so that makes me wonder if i got it elsewhere.

I own 3 pieces not mentioned so far, these were the names of the kits on the boxes:

#862 '66 Falcon Ranchero (comes with camper top)

#865 '69/70 Falcon

#874 '61 Falcon Panel (nicer than Flintstone one, comes with rear interior, hood and clear red tail lights)

Somewhere I have a catalog of his offerings. If it is allowed I can scan and put it here. It was just a few pages of conversion kits plus a lot of wheels.

I ordered my two kits from him in about 1992. No internet, he took no cc, payment from Germany was not easy. Getting these models was a major task

I found two catalogs from Mini Exotics. The newer one is from November 1992, when I ordered the mentioned two kits from him. Regardless of already mentioned kits here is the list he offered back then. The newest model had number 848. I'm pretty sure he later had some versions of the long nose 70 Torino and some mid to late Rancheros, but I don't seem to have anything written about that.
