High octane Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I finished this build the other day and had added a resin Six Pack hood, hood pins, spark plug wiring, oil pan drain bolt, guitar string antenna, wheels from the LRW kit, and the front wheels also steer. The paint is Testors Plum Crazy.
hemi Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 That is one nice looking Duster you have there, any chance we can see more pictures of it.
lotno249 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Man, love that plum crazy! Super great job on the model. DJ
TooOld Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 That looks really nice Nick ! I think this is the first finished build of yours I've seen . The pure white interior goes great with the purple . I'm gonna have to find some guitar strings , that antenna looks great .
slusher Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Awsume, nice touch on the white interior and wheels. Very nice build....
PistonDog Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Love the white interior with the plum crazy purple. The wheels rock. great job. Now Im motivated to finish mine. I guess that's how I end up with 9-10 kits started and not finished.
bogger44 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Sweet Duster, Nick. Very nice work. Love that color combo, I built a '70 Road Runner the same way. You know, I have yet to build a Duster. That may have to change soon. Thanks for the inspiration.
David G. Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) Nice Duster! What kit is it? David G. Edited November 29, 2012 by David G.
caine440 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Nice work. I like the Hood, color and wheels!
tubbs Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 very nice build!! may i ask who makes the hood?
Green Duster Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Yes! Who makes the hood. I could use a few.
gtx6970 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) Yes! Who makes the hood. I could use a few. Harts parts makes one and Drag City casting makes one. I have both. The Drag City casting version is hands down the better of the 2 If someone wants the Harts parts version I have, pm me an address and I'll send it to you for free . I have NO pans to use it This is the drag city casting ones I bought ( actually I bought 3 ) http://www.ebay.com/...cvip=true&rt=nc ps, I am not assiciated with either one in any way - so this is my personal opinion only. I build Old drag car and some factory stock Mopar stuff so I am always on the lockout for items to fill my interests . Several times Ive bought like items from multiple venders to gauge quality. I keep the one I like and off the other. I can snap some comparison pics if requested Edited November 29, 2012 by gtx6970
