Art Laski Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Curt,Did you modify the air filter hat? It looks like the center piece is raised a bit more than the kit part. Also, how did you replicate the screen around the center of the hat?-Art

I did modify the air cleaner cut the top off to preserve it, drilled out the base, wrapped some photoetched mesh in the opening and glued the top back on me thinks it looks more like the real thing gotta get the duct tape "tint" put on the windscreen did think of you when I "snapped" the windcreen in half while cleaning it up...glued it back together and vacuum formed a few copies of it also what happened to John's thread on his 1950 custom Ford pick up? can't find it c'ya Curt

While working on mine, I noticed it needed something, but not sure what. I like what you did to that hat very much and will probably copy that! Yeah, those windshields tend to snap, don't they? John's pickup is in the truck section here:http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=66633 Edited November 30, 2012 by Art Laski
rorleans81 Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Nice job! Your fine model is a prime example that their is no comparison between plastic modeling and diecast. Awesome.
