This is a model of the BFG Lifesaver Radial Corvette John Greenwood raced in 1972

The model is a 1/25 Revell Stars & Stripes Corvette, decals are from Fred Cady and minilite wheels are from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland

Excellent model Curt!! All it needs is the duct tape "tint" at the top of the windshield. :lol:

dang...didn't even notice it

still have some "duct tape" leftover from covering the headlamps

Did you modify the air filter hat? It looks like the center piece is raised a bit more than the kit part. Also, how did you replicate the screen around the center of the hat?

you caught me...

I did modify the air cleaner

cut the top off to preserve it, drilled out the base, wrapped some photoetched mesh in the opening and glued the top back on

me thinks it looks more like the real thing

gotta get the duct tape "tint" put on the windscreen

did think of you when I "snapped" the windcreen in half while cleaning it up...glued it back together and vacuum formed a few copies of it

also what happened to John's thread on his 1950 custom Ford pick up?

can't find it

Well, great job on it. While working on mine, I noticed it needed something, but not sure what. I like what you did to that hat very much and will probably copy that!

Yeah, those windshields tend to snap, don't they?
