These reflect my cheapness in getting something I think I need.

First, a stand for pliers and such that copies the ones available I've seen around. Just a few pieces of plywood.

Then I modified a paintbrush stand I have that doesn't work well. The Brushes always missed the small hole in the bottom and slipped out. So I added a 1'4" plywood piece midway down supported by plywood pieces at the sides. It works ok but would have been even better a bit lower. The piece I added is painted black in the photo.

nice ideas/improvements on existing fixtures.

that plier stand is a lot like the idea I'm working on for my mother's huge collection of jewelry making pliers, in my version I will have a metal bar across the top that the pliers will sit on so the wood doesn't get mangled by the pliers.

Nice to see you have a set of Channellock pliers on that rack. They're about the only tools "Made in America" any more.

I do?

That's interesting .. they are Channellock for sure. I got them for the flat face to bend metal sheet and PE pieces. Being Channellock, they are even better than I thought and I know they will last forever! :)

Channellock manufactures a myriad of small tools perfect for us model builders. I lobbied for years, to get them to advertise in the hobby mags and to produce user specific tools we could use, but my pleas fell on deaf ears. My wife makes jewelry, you should SEE some of the tools they have....'Z'
