Olskoolrodder
My Dad had several of these as I grew up (I can remember 3,as well as a brand shiney new 620 King Cab in '76 or '77,whatever the first year was),the nicest of which when I was 16 in the 80's (slammed, chrome wheels,Buick V6...). Cool ol trucks, that's a good looking one you got there
Austin T
Looks very nice, theres one on Craigslist in my area but it's rusted so bad you can almost see through it!They are very cool little trucks.
Rob Hall
Interesting..has that truck ever been kitted? The front end resembles the 510 of that era...
Chuck Most
Thanks for posting these! I've always wanted one of these trucks, believe it or not.
Casey
I wouldn't mind seeing more pics of the Dodge F-body parked ahead of the Datsun, too. Heck, I'd love to see pics of all Mexican-market specific cars and truck we didn't get across the border. The '90s Dodge Ramcharger, anything from VAM (AMC), not to mention the F-body (Aspen/Volare) Super Bees.
Aeroteto
I wouldn't mind seeing more pics of the Dodge F-body parked ahead of the Datsun, too It´s a 1980 Plymouth Volare. It´s in a very sad condition, I simply cant find all the replacement pieces she needs. Tomorrow I`ll take a few pics of the Volare.
Daddyfink
Nice 521! I used to have one! Great little trucks! I really would like to find a nice one again. That must have come from the U.S. as the L Motor was not imported into Mexico. Most of them came with the push rod engines instead of the overhead cam ones. The 510, or 1600 in Mexico, even came without its trademark IRS rear end and came with live axle setups! Pretty rare to find those these days! Aeroteto
Yes, this little truck came from the US several years ago. After some months of hard work it shines again. A good friend of mine have two Datsun 510 in mint condition one from the States and one Mexican. It's not unusual to see 510's today in Mexico, they are beloved little cars. I'll ask him if he let me take pictures of his cars. I have a lot more trouble finding pieces for my 80 Volare, than for any Datsun.

Its basically the Central/South American version of eBay. Lots of stuff there.
Aeroteto
well, basically the Mexican Mercado Libre, it´s the Mexican version of E-Bay, not central/south american. www.mercadolibre.com.mx
Fabrux
My mistake; there's a whole network of sites. My favourite are the Brazil and Argentina versions; lots of interesting variants there.
Erik Smith
Cool old truck. Let's see...start with the front end from Hasegawa Bluebird, engine modified from a Fujimi Datsun 6... The L-16 is a classic engine,too...92 hp was pretty good for a little truck in 1971! My 1984 22R only put out 97.
pharoah
I wish someone would make a kit of that. Nice truck! I have a 73 620 Datsun.
