spkgibson Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Thanks Steve for the info. I do see shots of some of the Pro Stocks with and without the trunk ridge. I will leave this one be. Overall it is a nice package deal from Comp. Resin. One of our fellow board memebers is reworking the decals for this one and they sound like they are going to be outstanding. How can I get a set? I have always wanted to build a few of the Demon pro stock's....Rod Shop......Carlton..The list goe's on.
Mopar Mike Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Roger, Looks great. I'ld be interested in some Demon decals. Can you let me know how I could get some. Thanks Mike Mopar To Ya

Mister Twister Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Roger your attention to detail gets better and better. I always enjoy seeing your replica builds.
jjsipes Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Roger love all your builds. Do you have any updates on the Demon?
spkgibson Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 The trunk lid center "ridge" was a mid-'71 change. Cars newly constructed for the '72 season would probably have it, while teams stretching '71 cars into the '72 season might overlook the change. The MPC kit parts don't fit all that well, so it's not surprising that resin kits based on it are also tough to get together. MPC didn't get the front wheel openings right either. I found out about the poor fit while reworking a '76 Dart body to accept some resin front end parts copied from the MPC Demon kit. From a resin kit that I bought second-hand (don't know who made it), as of now all I'm using is the taillight panel (cut from the body) and the front bumper/grille (and I might set that aside in favor of a Modelhaus part, as I did with the hood and front pan). Have you seen the factory stock version I posted on here?.....any updates yet?.......I can't wait to see this finished.
crowe-t Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) Roger, Real nice work so far on the Demon! I can't wait to see it finished. What chassis did you use? Is that the one that came with the kit from Comp Resins? Mike. Edited April 2, 2013 by crowe-t
caine440 Posted April 3, 2013 Author Posted April 3, 2013 Thanks It is a resin tubbed back half off ebay with the rest being from an AMT Duster kit and Pro Street Super Bee. There is a guy on ebay that sells lots of tubbed chassis, some nicer than other, I do not have a very big chassis selection in the part box so every now and then I pick up Pro Street kits or one of these resin chassis. I used the same chassis but different front end parts on a Mopar Missile Duster that is all resin from Reliable Resin.
caine440 Posted April 20, 2013 Author Posted April 20, 2013 Working 7 days a week and a 9 month old baby boy sure cuts into bench time. Still a long way to go.
gtx6970 Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I was wondering about the wheels on the actual car , brand and such . so I need to ask , What are the wheels from ? . I need to find me a set as well
caine440 Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 The rear wheels are from Reliable Resin as are the slicks. The front are from the Lindberg Color Me Gone Dodge. They are not the correct ones but as close as I could find.
Slotcar12 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Help, Looking for this resin kit. We're can I get one? Paul. Slotcar12@att.net

Old Buckaroo Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Nice work & build up Roger, it is amazing how some of these projects fight you the whole way. Belated congratulations on the baby I have been having a heck of a time finding front tires also - seems like every kit I check has those blasted Good Year Poly Glass in them.
booboo60 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Roger, Its looking great, can't wait too see her painted up with all the trim, Say, When you say "Drill out the Carb" Are you talking about Boring out the Ports for the Butterfly flaps, or drill out for fuel lines and linkage? Thanks
LeadFred Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Wow, I just wanna have one too. Really great work, About Dodge Demon???? I think i have something in the back of my head that say´s that a Dodge Demon was or will be re-issued from MPC or AMT?? Is that right? Fred
krazyglu Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Amt/MPC is releasing a 75 Dodge Demon sport. Nice build Cain...my Dad has a `73 Duster and a few 440`s in my garage right now.
caine440 Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 They are saying a 71 Demon is on the way. This build is finished and can be seen here' http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76425 I like the front tires from Comp resin for these cars or the ones from the johan Sox & Martin Cuda.

OutaFocus Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I wish someone would do a corrected body with the front wheel wells from the L.A. Dart wheel stander kit. The MPC Demon body has been sadled with Duster Wheel openings since the first release.
caine440 Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Check out the Dart Swinger at Bandit Resin.
