Ron35369 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 This kit went together really nice. I painted it in a 1961 Olds Twilight Mist & added Pegasus wheels & tires.
blunc Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 speaking as a person who has been intimate with a real Firebird 400 (I saved mine from a salvage yard for $200 but it was in pieces at the time) I can say well done also. there are pics of my bird in the readers rides thread. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=55870&page=16#entry754751
The70judgeman Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Looks really sharp! Probably the same paint code, but Pontiac called it Iris Mist.
diymirage Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 looks great i love the paint job on it one word of advise though (and i say this a LOT) you are running directional tires on there and the ones on the driver side are backwards
Ron35369 Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 Dog gone...I usually catch those directional tires. Gotta be more careful in the future. Thanks for all the great comments guys.
Modlbldr Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Love that color on your bird! Your paint work and the rest of the build is outstanding. Later-
dmk Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 That is beautiful. Those rims look nice on that boddy style too. BTW, Those tires will slide right off those rims and you can flip them around.
jaydar Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Great job. Anybody have one of these kits for sale?? joe.
Sixties Sam Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Nice Firebird! Great color, and engine detail. I like those 1st generation Firebirds. Yours is a beauty! Sam
