RandyB. Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I have had a few requests to post my last two builds together in one photo showing the 1957 Ford Custom squaring off with the 1957 Chevrolet 150. I would have liked to have taken the pics outside under natural light but weather is not going to permit me to do this for several days so I shot them inside under artificial light. Have a look.
rmvw guy Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Wow that's the same Idea I had, posting the two together, you beat me to it. They both look really good together! The two colors are just enough different to be convincing. Two sleeper cars, I love it!!! Mine are going the black and white route.
slusher Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Randy, those are 2 great looking models. Great looking period correct colors. l always enjoy tor builds and enjoyed both of these. Outstanding work.....
Danno Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Good stuff! Both excellent builds ... nice to see them together.
Rob Hall Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Very cool..nice to the two build as base trim 2drs. Would be neat to have a kit of one of these to go with them--
realgone58 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Looks great! Perfect colors! Yes, we do need a '57 Plymouth Plaza 2 door post kit.
espo Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 They both look great. You wouldn't think it today, but in 1957 Ford outsold Chevrolet..
RandyB. Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Thanks guys! Rob...yes I would like to see something like this in a Plymouth or Dodge.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Very cool models. Of course the Ford is way nicer :D
Scalper Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 They look very nice together , great builds Randy . I am impressed at how fast you built them, cant wait to see what is next.
IMPALA SS 427 Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 very nice pair, I very much like the base models of the 50's and the colours the 50's cars come in, very nice builds they both look great.
Paxton Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 two beautiful montages. I guess to remember the Fairlane has outsold the Chevy, but I much prefer the bel air ...
Guest Johnny Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Randy! That is an awesome combination! Love seeing builds like that! Rob, in my 60+ years I have only seen one of those Plymouth's in person! The man that had it was racing it at US30, Oswego or Union Grove just about every weekend!
cooltoys1 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 AWESOME!! Looks gret together. Almost makes me want to see about 10 of each togeter, like a car dealer pic.
lillakev Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Both of those cars look great. Nice colors on each of them, very nostalgic. I've always heard that the '57 Ford outsold the '57 Chevy 2:1. Does anyone know if this is true?

Kevin it's true that Ford outsold the '57 Chevy that year but I'm not sure if it was 2:1
