Kenny B Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) I'm really starting to feel old when I look at some of my old builds. Here's one that I built 28 years ago. I was young and painted it silver orange peel. Then stripped it and painted it baby blue?????? It sat for years when I finally decided to carefully take it all apart and do it right this time. It was redone 8 years ago. Three times lucky? The only thing that has to be done is to rechrome the bumpers. I'm going to try out that Alclad Chrome paint on them. Enjoy..... You can always dream. cobraman Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Looks nice. Third times the charm as they say.
jbwelda Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 not that one would really want to do it on a 1:1 car, but i have always wanted to use that rochester mechanical fuel injection on some 1/8 build. yours looks particularly nice under the hood. i wish someone would resin cast those pieces.
Sixties Sam Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Wow! That's a beautiful 'Vette! Great finish! I have an original issue Big T that I built about 1962, unpainted, then repainted a couple years later in a terrible lavender color. What was I thinking? It's faded and falling apart, waiting for its third reincarnation, too! Sam
pharoah Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Really nice! Which version is this? The red one or the metalflake blue? I have an original blue one built box stock, and a metalflake blue I plan to build (someday) I really like these kits, but it takes a lot of room just to build one.
Hawk312 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Very nice! Really clean build! I love red interiors.
Custom Hearse Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 That is nice! Third time is a charm!!!
Harry P. Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Why are there two holes in the center console?
tobaccoleafpie Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Why are there two holes in the center console? That is where the seat belt buckles are placed.
Kenny B Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Why are there two holes in the center console? Harry, I like Kevin's answer to your question. I'm not sure why the holes are there. I've always thought that I was missing a part. The build sheet shows the two holes but not showing anything to go into them. Kenny B
