Very cool kit. I like the Walthers Cornerstone kits, and have a few of them. Someday, when I have my trains up again (and the room for them), they'll be used to dot my layout with a variety of objects and structures.

The main inside picture of the store and the 2 employee graphics pictures are from Model Empire in West Allis, WI. The hobby store I frequent the most.

Dang Andy, I thought that looked familiar! What a neat way to honor a great hobby shop!

I agree...it's owned and run by a multi-generational family. They're great people. Also, Walthers is a Milwaukee based model train company, so it kind of fits.

I'd like my own one to,a real one. I just wrote a ten page business plan for opening a HobbyTown USA in Nashville for entrepreneurship class.

And here I thought you started one up in the Bismarck area.

And after passing through Bismark last summer it could certainly use a good hobby shop!

The kit certainly cool and if I see one I'll probably pick one up.

I know what you mean. The only hobby shop we had around here [unless you want to count Hobby Lobbyas a hobby shop] closed around the 1st of August.

Was that the train shop in the basement? I was there once, bought a few things a few years back. We had 3 in Fargo, now only one full time, besides Michael's. and Hobby Lobby.
