wgflatliner Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I was building this with what might consider "modern technology" with some carbon fiber and black trim in some spots vs chrome. brown leather interior, tan carpet and photo etch window cranks. The paint is a Metalizer's Aluminum Plate that is NOT polished, then it's topped with Boyd's Orange Pearl and then i attempted to do stoplight red metallic flames on the front fenders. I then used future to clear coat it and then novus polish after wetsanding to 12k grit. The paint is VERY smooth as you can see reflections in some of the pics. I know it's not perfect, but i certainly did the best i could. The hardest part about this was there were no instructions to work with, so i was left guessing for the most part.
