Porscheman Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 2 Muscle Cars, 2 Totally different looks. The Revell Torino was painted Tamiya Bright Yellow with black interior and the Monogram GTX was painted Model Car World Chrysler Metalic Maroon with Black interior.Which one do you like better? I'm a Ford guy.Al
Rob McKee Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I like the Torino myself. It isn't a car we see to often anymore.
lazlow Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I love both, but the gtx takes it. Is that a factory color.
Porscheman Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 Thank you,It's a factory color for Chryler 1970, but I don't know if it was on the GTX. I just thought it was a great color for this car.
1930fordpickup Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Nice work. I like them both with a nod to the Torino.
cobraman Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 They are both very nice but I prefer the Torino cuz I am a Ford guy as well.
Custom Mike Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 It's a tough one, I love both the Torino and GTX...but I'm gonna have to say the GTX wins by a hair. It looks really, really good in that color!
Yahshu Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I'm a Mopar fan so the GTX but they are both very nicely built.
JasonC Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I like the GTX. Far as the color goes, it wasn't offered on the GTX, nor was a silver side stripe. But seeing it here, looks like they should of !!!
Custom Hearse Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I like the Torino. I used to own a '71 GT that was green, and someone had painted a black "Starsky & Hutch" stripe on it Where did you get the tailights and grill for it?
Guest Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I like both the same. If I have to pick one, a slight edge to the GTX. Great work!
slusher Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Al you have posted some really sharp builds. Both cars look great and thats a great color on the Torino...
PARTSMARTY Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER. BOTH LOOK COOL.WHO LIKES WHAT DOESN'T MATTER AS LONG AS YOU LIKE THEM.
Porscheman Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 I like the Torino. I used to own a '71 GT that was green, and someone had painted a black "Starsky & Hutch" stripe on it Where did you get the tailights and grill for it? The photo etched grill and tail light grill are from Mini Exotics. Thanks for looking. Al
tomsheehy Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 They both look great, I'd be proud to have either on my shelf.
Grumpa Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 You did a beautiful job on both of them Al. I kind of like the "GTX"!
TFchronos Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Both of them look amazing, also being a Mopar fan I like the GTX just a little more. You did an excellent job on both of them, very clean builds. Keep up the great work!
bbowser Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 I'm a GM guy but gotta give the nod to the Torino. Both are great looking models.
Monty Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I like the GTX. Far as the color goes, it wasn't offered on the GTX, nor was a silver side stripe. But seeing it here, looks like they should of !!! Pretty much what I was going to say. Love that Chrysler color!
Blown03SVT Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Both are super clean, and sharp. But the Torino wins hands down to me.
Chris guthro Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 (edited) Definatley the Torino! Just because im very ford motor co biased haha. But my dads freind has a 69 roadrunner 383 stroked to a 418 stage 2 clutch with 4 speed. All manual brakes and steering wth roughy 550 horsepower lol, and im telling you that thing gets to 120mph in a blink of an eye. But being a bright orange and a small town you have to keep it pretty tamed lol Edited April 4, 2013 by Chris guthro
Hmann Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 The models both look great! If I had a choice, I would take the GTX. I had a 70 RR and always loved that year, not to mention its a Mopar. But I always thought that era Torino was a sharp ride, too.
