one of two models I have completed. This one fired better than the BOSS 429, but still some issues with sanding through the color coat. This was painted with ZERO then clearcoated, then tons of sanding. I'll get it right some day.

I used the MCG photo etch kit for the interior, exterior badges, wheel centers, hood vents etc.

Another nice build, but I need to let you know, Chevy engines of this vintage, from the factory as in your build, are Chevy engine orange, not blue. But a very nice job none the less.

I realize that, but I'm building a 1/12 57 Chevy and I'm tired of staring at orange. I thought it would be a nice change. It is GM Blue though, if that counts :P

Really like this build! Your chassis paintwork is outstanding! How did you get the edges of the frame "highlighted" like you did, (especially right behind the front suspension and front wheels)? It looks really good; I'd like to try your technique on some of my future builds!

I used dry brushing, but I use Model Master Metalizers. Steel seems to be the best color. You can buff it to a shine after, but when you use it dry for dry brushing, it comes out super thin and shiny already after you scrape the brush across the surface.

On metal colored parts I spray the color I want, then do a wash, then dry brush the high points, so I get at least 3 metal colors in there.

Very nice Chevelle man.

That sanding through just happens sometimes.

I sand very lightly and hold them at an angle to see how its going and I keep it wet, wet, wet as I sand.

Looks like you had no problems with the Chevelle.
