Mopar - D Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Excellent build really like your colors with the decal it all came together nicely.
slusher Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Excellent build, great colors and decals. Beautiful model.
Mr mopar Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Awesome useage of the eagle decals. nice work John.
doogie7046 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Awesome build. I like how you modified the grill and headlights. Visor looks great with the Eagle theme. The paint design really works with those decals. Looks like it could have been a factory paint option.
Q tip Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 thanks for all the positive comments. Had a vision when I seen the broughm decals and thought why not! mixing retro with modern and trying to make it look right is the biggest challenge. thank again........Q
BigBad Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Good job! Mice mild custom, love the paint and decals, the Lonestar was retro to start with. So it's a Retro-modern-retro theme thing!
griffin Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 wow, great model. Like the headlights and sunvisor. Very good
Platerpants Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Looks very nice not a fan of the way you did the grill and the rear mudflaps, but The color scheme says harley to me i dont know why cuz harley is orange and black.
Kenny B Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 John, Very nice retro with new, right down to the old school painted hubs and headlights. Very nice work. Does the hood open? Did you do all the air lines as well? I remember that old paint scheme and eagle back in the late 70's early 80's. Great build. Kenny B
Christopher J Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 What's that stretched out to is scale numbers?
Q tip Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 wheel base 1:1 would be in the area of 362". yes the hood does open, not much to write home about, I was after the paint and over all finish with the old time broughm graphics. The only thing I changed with the painting was the reversal of the order from top to bottom. the original had black on top and orange on the bottom.(I also changed from black to grey). the grill had gotten damaged so instead of trying to repair it I removed the bars . box stock? no. different? oh yea! thanks Q
