Hawk312 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 This was another "quick" build, at least for me.I finished this one a while back, and never got around to taking pictures. Sorry I only have two lousy pics. My camera decided it wants to take pictures in shades of blue and purple only. Until I figure that out, this is all I have to post. The inspiration was a real `55 just like this that I saw in Ocean City cruise weekend last year. Nothing special with this build...pretty much straight out of the box with the wheels from the `56 kit, and added wires and hoses.
Harry P. Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Very nice! As usual, your paint is flawless. Nice job... But it sure looks like red to me, not orange...
Hawk312 Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Very nice! As usual, your paint is flawless. Nice job... But it sure looks like red to me, not orange... Thanks Harry. Yeah, I`m not sure what is up with that. The color is Tamiya "Bright Orange." Looks kinda more like coral to me in person, and my Camera is having trouble capturing any color correctly today. It`s a shame too, because I am expecting to finish up a very *big* (not in scale) project in the next week or so that I`ve been working on for a looong time. Nice that my camera died just in time. Looks like I am off to Best Buy....
Hawk312 Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Very nice ! Love the paint . Thanks Cobraman. Just thought I would get all three of the tri-fives together. The other two were gifts to my parents:
rmvw guy Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Sweet! All three, like Harry said you do flawless paint work.
Sixties Sam Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Great builds! Perfect paint jobs. Very good work. Sam
TheRX7Project Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Wow that paint looks crisp. And man the blurple one is gorgeous.
Guest Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 That's a super sharp looking '55 Chevy David! The colors and wheels really set it off! Excellent work!
Shardik Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Beautiful paint and clean build. Nothing wrong with these. There's probably nothing wrong with your camera, either. The pictures look like they were taken in natural light with your camera set for incandescent / indoor lighting. In this mode, the camera compensates for the yellow cast of incandescent light by adding blue. Look for an icon that looks like a child's depiction of a sun.
Johnny1973 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Great work, nice and smooth paint job.Nice color combos all the 55s
dino246gt Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Beautiful '55, and that's a quick build? Wow you're very talented! That looks really good.
