Well I finished my second kit for the year...Now I just of to finish a couple more!

I just built it right out of the box...just to get one done. I still need to add a few more decals to it but its pretty much done.

The top of the body doesnt sit well...I could make it fit by gluing it in place but not sure if I will. The upper body interferes with the front suspension a little bit. And the half shafts between the spindle's and the drive axles didnt line up right. I tried to fix them but the would stay where they should have they kept shifting back to the same mis alined location.

But it was still fun to build besides I mostly bought the kit for the tractor anyway.

Considering you only bought the model for the tractor, it looks great! Heck, it looks great regardless of why you bought the model! :D

I also thought, yot bought it only to have a tractor (like i).

Yu built it very nice! Never see one Lotus Turbinebuilt before. Like it! And it tells me, to built mine also...

Thanks everyone for the comments. I think I will do another one and this time fix the front bulkhead/suspension area ...needs a little trimming down in height....so the upper body will set down all the way.......besides then I will have two tractors!

Pretty cool build.

I have always thought about building on of these, But I thought there were 1/20th scale ????

I remember watching the race when the car debued and from memory it didn't do very well

The 1/20th scale turbine car was from the previous year, my holy grail kit. Parnelli sat side-by-side with the turbine engine, lost the race because of a $6 bearing with 2 or 3 laps to go in 1968 I think? Colin Chapman came back the next year with this car after the sanctioning body choked down the engine and they still outran the field. I was at the time trials most years back then with my dad and uncle, still remember the silent "whoosh" when they went by. It was a bit unnerving!
