tiking Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) ...portrays a Libyan mechanic working on the rocket launcher. The second mechanic is working on the moped. Please go easy on me as this is my first major work with figures. As you all know, I have been shy about painting figures due to my inexperience. So here are the pics. Edited June 3, 2013 by tiking
Tom Geiger Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I think your truck, figures and assorted junk all look just dandy! Very nice work! The alarming thing is seeing that truck in a suburban neighborhood! Is that thing aimed at your house?
tiking Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Haha. It is a Technical pickup used in rebel situations.
tiking Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 Ok. I finally added another figure, this time from MENG civilian kit. It is a boy. Again, go easy on the paint job. ButI think I did an OK job for my third figure. I also added more bike parts and Misc.
Austin T Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Very nice. I had a friend email me a link to pictures of your models on another site today. I really like your work.
tiking Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 Thanks Austin. Glad you like it. Which link did your friend sent you? Just curious.
Eshaver Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 This diorama has all of the elements need to make for a realistic setting . Find the post I made in this topic : "Essentials to a Good Diorama " Great job !
Sixties Sam Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 The figures look very real, as does all the junk in the photos. Very nice work! The background makes it look so realistic! Sam
Austin T Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 No problem Charles. Here's the link he sent me.http://www.track-link.com/gallery/8791
Connor01 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Sweet ,like the way everything's just thrown together
tiking Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 Thanks Connor. The base is an old tree truck, like that used on the 23 window Samba vignette.
AzTom Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Very well done! Everything needed to tell the story and painted to perfection
tiking Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 Thanks a million Tom. The only thing i am unsure of, if the vegatation is a bit much. I mean libya cannot be completely desolated without any vegatation or am i wrong?
