All 4 of my current Fox Chassis' have Gray primer with a heavy dose of body color overspray. The 88 Coupe I started into the FOX world with was the same way, and the 85 Coupe I just picked up is also Gray with body colored overspray.

FYI-- I'm going with your info. Most of them I've seen are gray and the red oxide unit is the only one I've seen that way.

Thanks for confirming.

Oh, look...

After working 12 months of hours in the last 4 months, I managed to get some time this weekend to dust (and hair) off my models...

interior is close to completion:

More sanding and painting as we speak, or read...

That dash just sings. Looks and feels like I'm driving my '93 Cobra. I love the green LED display on the factory radio.

Yeah I was trying to figure out how that was pulled off! I love it.

Ive done that same radio trick on my own 93 cobra kit, I just took a little standard green paint on the end of a sharp toothpick and carefully let the paint fill that void where the display is, worked everytime on tiny detail painting like this.

Wheel and tire update:

Yes, whitewalls!

Engine construction seems to be going really slow:

And a bunch of painted parts:

There are many nice pieces on this kit. I have a lot of small stuff being painted tonight and should see some jumps in progress the next few days.

Radio LCD was done with a coat of gunmetal paint and transparent Tamiya green.

Thanks for input and looking!

I think the seats look ok. The grey gut in my 89 were not very dark

I think the seats look awesome, great technique on them, whatever you did !

Engine, sans the upper intake parts to be installed at a later time:

The engine goes together very well and has great engraving. The firing order? Yeah, the rubber boot takes care of that!

There is no coil or coil cover included in the kit, so I am making the cover:

8D7EF5BA-386B-4D8D-8799-512F6B12391C-245

This will install between the washer fluid and shock tower in the driver's side of the engine bay.

Here is the emissions decal I'll need to make:

Looks like Revell messed up on the drivers side head. The plug on the outside of the manifold should be in the very back not the front.

Nice detail and weathering.

I'd blame the builder.

Man Erik, you're doing a great job on this build! Can hardly wait to see it finished!

Just picked up the kit, gonna try to replicate the '91 Coupe in my garage.
