cobraman Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 As of today I have 3 weeks left to work and retirement is right around the corner. No more work B.S.. More time for hobbies. Since I have 105 hours of PTO they will have to pay me for it will be a good time to get a nice kit for myself as a retirement gift. I am thinking of one of the resin Daytona Cobra kits that you can still find on ebay or perhaps a Trumpter Gt 40. I always liked that car but need to research it first. Heck, maybe I will splurge and get them both !
Ramfins59 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Good for you Ray. I'm sure you will enjoy retirement and all the extra time you'll have for modeling. Good luck buddy.
martinfan5 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I bet you are counting down the days , congrats on the soon to be more free time to build, cheers
High octane Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I've been retired for awhile now and love it. If I managed my time more carefully I would get more modeling done. LOL! I hope you have an enjoyable retirement.
cobraman Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 I bet you are counting down the days , congrats on the soon to be more free time to build, cheers My wife bought me a count down clock awhile ago. It was at 444 days when she bought it for me. It now says 19 days. Breaks it down into hours, minutes and seconds also. So yes, I am counting down the days.

See, you just THOUGHT you were retiring!!! You're going to work harder now than ever, you'll be begging for your old job back just to relax!! Have a happy retirement, and get both kits for your retirement gift!
W-Machine Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Having watched my retirement savings plans take a beating over the last few years, I now know the important questions that I will be asking when I reach "retirement age". Those questions are, "Paper or plastic?" and "Would you like fries with that?". I hope you enjoy a long, happy retirement building all the stuff you ever wanted to.
TooOld Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Congrats Ray ! Buy both kits and the detail kits for them , then do a few things on the Honey Do list with a smile while you are waiting for them to arrive !
