Randy Kern Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Now that model looks familiar! Good to see you posting here, Dube. They're going to love your work. That MG gasser looks like it's coming along nicely. Hope to see you at the Nov. meeting. I will have my Miura there, it's just about done.
cruz Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Hey Mike, good to see you around these parts man, looking forward to seeing more of your work around here, they will love you. Nice job on this progress, keep us posted please!!!!!!!
novadose71 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 that's a cool little MG. Probably a little faster than stock too. I wanna see this one finished.
mr moto Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I love the concept! I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
Modelmartin Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 There were more than a few MG gassers and __ /MSP (modified sports) in the 60s. They tended to be TDs and TFs and some MGA and Austin Healeys. Your model is very typical of that type of car from that era. very cool!
OldsklMike Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 Thanks for all the great comments. Little update on the MG. 95% of the fab work is done and i'm ready to start painting parts, this is turning out to be a fun little project.. This ones going to get the dirty treatment also. Enjoy the pics.. the inspiration for this build came from these 2 pics i found on the web. Randy i still want to see you gasser your Bugeye Sprite.. And yes i'll be at the meeting Sat. Thanks Mike
Randy Kern Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Mike, that's coming along VERY nicely! Should look pretty cool when done (as always!). I actually do have a boxtop mocked up for my Bugeye/altered project
OldsklMike Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 Little update to the gasser.. Paint is on and I really like the color, it should look really good once I start to weather it. Going for the hardly wash, just for fun weekend racer look.. Paint is Kilz Golden Margarita.. Later Mike
dub Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Looks great, Mike! I can't wait to see her all dirty!
Wildrice Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 I like that. Way to build the unusual car.
