Piero Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Here is my last model, for the salvage and shop diorama I'm building. A '85 Chevy S10. Not a shiny gloss paint, but a paint of many years... Some details: I'll add some evolutions on the paint and details. What do you think about it ?
Brett Barrow Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Looks great! Personally, I'd change the passenger's side front wheel to something different, if you have something the right size. You can say the accident that damaged the original fender and hood would have bent the wheel as well.
Foxer Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Definitely a work truck. Great job on the weathering!
gonzo64nova Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 That second shot in front of the garage is really great.... looks like its ready to start up and drive away. - Bill
Piero Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 Thanks Brett, that's not a bad idea to change a wheel...
Chris White Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 did you just deliver a load of grass to my house with that truck !!!!!! Nice work
JasonC Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) Very cool. But you got the model year wrong. It's a 1993, not a 1985. Edited July 13, 2013 by JasonC
Piero Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Very cool. But you got the model year wrong. It's a 1993, not a 1985. The guy has changed the grille :D In fact, I said 1985 because the license plate decal I've found is a Texas plate with... 1986 sticker.
PappyD340 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Looks good! You captured the theme well! I couldn't agree more, NICE job!!
Piero Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Thanks ! Here is that truck in the new diorama I'm working on :
Dr. Cranky Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Wow, some great subtle weathering. Love it. Keep up the good work.
JasonC Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 The guy has changed the grille :D In fact, I said 1985 because the license plate decal I've found is a Texas plate with... 1986 sticker. And changed the dash, plus tail gate
Piero Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 And changed the dash, plus tail gate Oh Shhhh... Ok.... This is a stolen '93 S10 with a '86 license plate
JasonC Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Oh Shhhh... Ok.... This is a stolen '93 S10 with a '86 license plate  You should build a cop car pulling it over with a driver behind the wheel sweating to death lol!
James2 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 This S10 would look right at home on any back country road here in the states. Nicely done......
