Pete L. Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Fellas, Thanks to inspiration and information from this board, I recently finished this up. Nothing fancy just about OOB except for the wheels/tires.
gwolf Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I agree with Harry, very classy and classic. I'd like a peek at that engine, though...the valve covers look great with the touch of red.
Agent G Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 How about some more pics? Yes please! That's a nice one. G
Pete L. Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Fellas, "Asleep at the wheel" is an understatement, sorry...I just found this thread again and saw the request for more pics. Here's some I took while under construction, I just can't recall if I've posted these on this board before.
Pete L. Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 Fellas, A couple more pics...now if Monogram could reissue their "Lil Deuce" with restored parts like they did the "Blue Bandito" we could see some more of these type of builds !!!
Roadrunner Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Looks very cool. I have to ask, is this painted, or the kit plastic?
rmvw guy Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I some how missed this one the first time, thanks for bringing it back. Didn't know it was possible to make this one look so good! The interior really pops with the boby color. Great little package.
Belugawrx Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Nice work on this... Love the wide whites, and the interior looks cool Cheers
MsDano85gt Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 very nice pete! I always loved the hood ornament on that kit i've got the ford 427 from the revell thunderbolt kits stuffed in mine

Pete L. Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) Fellas, Thanks for the kind words. The body was simply polished and waxed...the interior likewise has minimal paint. The red panels and the floorboard are painted (brushed) and the black outline on the upholstered panels is a fine point Sharpie. If I could change one thing, I'd use a red Sharpie on the interior instead of a black one. Pete Edited June 15, 2015 by Pete L.
