SteveG Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Well done !! .... I enjoyed the build up thread too. Thanks for posting it.-Steve
Johnny1973 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Awesome job G! it was a pleasure watching your work. John
o-man Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Fantastic build, can't wait to see how many more you do!
my name is nobody Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 wow......that is a beautiful build. looking at my model room...and my displays....something's missing....., A Police Car! somehow I have got to get me a few of these kits. Thank You for sharing.
Agent G Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 Thank you all. Oscar, I have at least three more marked cars planned. After those? G
slusher Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Awsume build, l enjoyed watching your build up also...
mangodart Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Very nice model, I'm not upset by the too low roof on this Mustang body, looks correct once build !!!!
Agent G Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 Thank you all. Tom I always liked the NHP color scheme. They got away from the silver/blue cars and it just doesn't look right anymore. I understand why, but it's a loss nonetheless. Emmanuel I have to agree with you on that. Somehow once built, you just don't notice it that much. G
Dr. Cranky Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Like it a lot, and next to that sign it's pretty cool.
Agent G Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Thanks Virgil! MrsG bought that sign on the strip when she heard I was building this one. When I build the CHP car I will pose both by the sign, thus replicating one of my favorite pics. G
martinfan5 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 The push bars look great, that is some nice scratch building
Agent G Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Thank you sir! Remember to bring the AzDPS 'stang with you Saturday. G
charlie8575 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 The two-tone paint seems to eliminate the top-chop look. As usual, Wayne, your work is simply outstanding. Charlie Larkin
Agent G Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 The two-tone paint seems to eliminate the top-chop look. As usual, Wayne, your work is simply outstanding. Charlie Larkin I tend to agree Charlie. The lightbar also seems to distract the eye and add height that isn't really there as well. Either way I'll be building a CHP slicktop next so we can compare the cars side by side. Thank you for the compliment too! G
Agent G Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Thank you Alan. I took this build to work today so a friend could see it. He was with NHP around that time and drove these babies. I cannot describe the look on his face when he saw this Mustang. It was a complete mixture of excitement, enthusiasm and misty eyed nostalgia. Once he finished looking, poking and prodding he remarked that it was "dead nutts on" like he remembered. That my friends made me feel good. I think this one, or one just like it, may find a new home down the road. G
SFC_Allen Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Looks great...where did you get the decals for this one though? Been looking but can't seem to find any. VR Earle
