charlie8575 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Ha! Thanks! I know I posted it under a different topic, as well, but I figured I would try to breathe some new life into these poor old AMC forums (especially since I am so late to the party). Thanks again for looking!AMC is cool. Very nice build of yours, Rob.Charlie Larkin
<profile removed> Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I bought 2 of the kits, originally, and am, currently, converting the other to a 70-72 using the nose from a Johan promo. In the late 60s and early 70s, my dad's boss had a brother-in-law who owned an AMC dealership, so, naturally, everyone in dad's company "chose" to buy AMCs and Ramblers. We had them all, except a Gremlin. The brother-in-law was pretty good to me, as I remember him giving me all kinds of promos and even a large, inflatable pink Gremlin character. Wish I had all that stuff now, but I digress. Anyway, my wagon was a 232, but my mother had a Hornet coupe with a 258 and that little car was pretty peppy! Thanks, again, for looking!
DrKerry Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Yup, I've had Concords, Spirits, Hornets, Ambasador, Nice cars, always liked them.....
unclescott58 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Hi all, I know this is an old post, but figured I would post some pics anyway, in cas people are still looking. (Like me) I finished the model about a year ago. It's based on an actual car I owned back in the day. Very nice looking Sportabout. Another cool resin.
modelguy4 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I had a 1971 Hornet wagon six cyl./ 3 speed on the floor....loved that car...would and could go anywhere! I want one of these kits too!
disabled modeler Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Now that is COOL..! First off I am a wagon nut. Second due to my late uncle loving AMCs I have a soft spot for them myself. I have a few id like to restore once I find the parts to for them...67 Ambassador HT and convertible74 AMXearly 70s GremlinId like to find some like my uncle owned someday to have replicas of them...restore these as his were.
David G. Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I love those old Hornets, yours looks great!David G.
