IMPALASS89 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) Hi again, This will be my first w.i.p on the board here so here I go with it. I seen a pic of this Torino on another board and wanted to build it in this color med blue met so I picked up some of mcws paint and started on it the other day and I just finished paint in the body in the color But it went on to dry fro some reason I think the humidty was to high today so I have to color sand the parts then once I get this done I an clear them tonight it all gose well. As for the interior I might go with white ike the one I seen in the pic not sure though. Wel here are the pics of the body painted more to come thanks for looking to. drodg Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 MCW paints are laquers and they will go on dry. You will need to clear and then polishing out the paint.
IMPALASS89 Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 I know that but the humidty was over 70 % in the basement today and I have a dehumidifer going alos and I always clear my models this gives the body a much deeper finishe look to the body once I set sand them out.
slusher Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Very nice color Duane. White interior will look great with that color..

IMPALASS89 Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Hi again, I had sometime to get a few thing done to the Torino over the past few day. I have the body parts all finished and barefoiled the shock towers painted in satin black as for the interior I went with white so I painted the headlinner seats and doorpannels in white.I then painted the engine block heads and intake ford engine blue the trans was painted in aluminum. As for the rims I painted then in saint black and for the center caps I used red for this. The grill was painted in black and then I used a paper towel for cleaning the excess paint off the grill.I also used red for the center of the grill that runs vertical on the grill.I still have to barefoil the window cranks and door handles to.Well here are the pics and more to post in the next day or two thanks for looking to.
slusher Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Nice progress Duane. Glad your posting here l always enjoy seeing your builds...
