Ira
TWO SCOOPS! I found 2 Scoops in two Polar Lights-Willy Wild kits. I trimmed off the Scoops Supercharger Mounts and then Sanded the Scoops bottoms flat. I cut out a rectangular piece of plastic to use as a base for the Scoops and glued it in place. Then I glued the Scoops on top of the base. Here is a photo of Raptor with the Scoops in place! More Coming...

Ira
IRON BIRD BASE! I decided I wanted a different shape for the Raptor Base, so I glued 2 Star Wars-Pod Racer Bases together... I covered the base with Paper Mache. You just mix White Glue with water and coat pieces of newspaper with the mixture. Then you just apply the wet paper to the base. You can build it up in layers or even rough shapes. Next I sprinkled Sand over the Wet Paper Mache. This gave me a Real Nice Texture on the Base. Then I put the Base out in the Hot Sun for a few hours to dry. More Coming...
Ira
IT CRACKED!!! I painted a Very Heavy coat of White Acrylic Paint on the base and then put it out in the sunshine to dry out. It dried out Real Good! The White Paint Cracked all over the Base, giving it a very Natural Dirt-Like appearance. After the Base was dry I sprayed it with 3 different shades of Brown. I will be adding Details later... More Coming...

Ira
WHICH CAME FIRST? Dolores found some Plastic Eggs at the store for me so...it looks like we are going to have a little Romulan Egg Robot! I roughed up the Egg surface and gluing area with sandpaper and glued it together with Zap-A-Gap. Then I applied some putty. Here is the Egg after some Sanding and Priming... I am going to add "Legs" from the Alpha Centari UFO Kit. I traced the Legs-Mounting Slots from the bottom of the UFO. Then I used a small drill bit in the Dremel Tool to make the Mounting Slots. Ira
FIXING A HOLE... Part of the Right Knee of the AT-ST is Missing! The Left Knee is complete but the right one is missing a square section so I am going to fill the area... I found a length of plastic tube that is the same diameter as the Knee Part. I traced the end of the tube on to plastic so I can make a closed end for the tube. I cut out the round piece of plastic and glued it on the end of the tube. Then I sanded the end of the tube until the two pieces blended together. More Coming...
Ira
NEW KNEE! I cut off the closed end of the tube and glued it on the Knee Joint. Next I cut two 1/4" strips of plastic and glued them in the top & bottom of the gap behind the Knee Tube. Now the Right & Left Knees match! Then I glued two 1/16 Scale Carburetors in the Knee Area for added Detail. More Coming...
Ira
CLAWS! I never liked the Pointed Extensions on the feet so I decided to change the Feet. I'm going to add 6 Claws! I carved the first Claw from plastic and then traced its shape on to a strip of plastic, 5 times. Next I cut the Extensions off the Feet and glued them to the Heals of the Feet. I cut out the 5 New Claws. Then I filed and sanded them until they were all uniform. More Coming...
Ira
CLAWS...Part 2! I Filed the Mounting Area on the front of the Foot smooth, then I Filed the back of the Claw to match up. Then I glued it in place with Zap-A-Gap, Green Label. Next I Filed down the backs of the other 4 Claws to fit tight up against the Mounting Areas on the Feet. I glued them in with Zap-A-Gap also. Here are the Feet after the Modifications! More Coming...
