Tom Geiger Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 This one started out as a mustard yellow promo I bought last weekend the swap meet in Macungie PA. You bought that last weekend and it's finished? I wouldn't have wheels picked out yet. That's it, I'm outsourcing my building to AL! See you tomorrow! Bring your appetite!
charlie8575 Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Nice Torino, Al. My mother had a '72 (I think) that was dark green with a white vinyl top and a green interior with the command-back (tall integrated headrest) bench seat. My dad remembers trying to clean the white vinyl top, and he did not have nice words to describe that chore, especially considering they ended up parked under a tree. Charlie Larkin
bbowser Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Great model. These cars were quite popular back in the day, I recall seeing a lot of them on the road. The 73s went with the infamous 5 MPH bumpers, everything looked better in 72!
Tom Geiger Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I saw the Torino in person yesterday and it's as nice as it looks in the pictures. And Al works fast too!
Mike 1017 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 The best looking Torino ever made. Red is the perfect color choice for this car. Congrats on your beautiful build
Porscheman Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 (edited) I really appreciate all the nice compliments on my Torino I never showed any of my cars prior to joining this site. With all the great models displayed by everyone here, gives me a lot of inspiration to continue building and improving my workmanship.Thank you again.Al Edited August 11, 2013 by Porscheman
