Thought I would show you guys the progress made on my latest project. It's Round2's release of the '56 Ford. I'll be working toward a clean, mild custom. Wheels and tires are from the Revell Merc. For the body, I wanted to simplify some of the chrome, so I removed the trim that runs along the top of the front fenders and shaved the handles from the doors. Color will be Deep Jewel Green from Dupli-color....

Well, you guys have a look-see and feel free to tell me what you think!

Thanks for showing an interest, guys.... :)

Not much of an update, I just wanted to show you all how I solved a problem I was having with this kit. The instructions say to mount the dash to the interior tub, but while test fitting I found that wasn't going to work. So I decided to try mounting the dash directly to the body. All it took was a small piece of cardboard cut from the box on each end of the dash to make it a snug fit....

Here is my engine and dash. I decided the 3-deuce setup from the Merc would fit the "custom" theme better than what the kit offered. The dash is in the color the car will be. My finished photos will have to be outdoor shots so you can get an idea of the color..... :)

Thought I would show you the little bit of progress I've made on this one! Got the headlight buckets molded to the fenders... my first time using putty on a model. also got the hood painted! The specks you see are just lint, not trash in the paint.... ^_^

EPIC FAIL!!

Long story short, I crazed the clear on the doors.... you guys stay away from the acrylic enamel clears! This one will go back in the box until I figure out what to do with it........ <_<

I'm not thinking that he meant to bash you. Perhaps he just didn't read your "epic fail" post and was actually saying that you were doing a good job.

Sorry to hear that your clear coat crazed. Don't let that stop you. You were on your way to a fine custom. I like the color of your engine block.
