Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Got this kit a few days ago, and i couldnt wait to start it.... Ive seen a few kits being built either stock, or as Johnny 5-0 (lol).... After messing with wheel choices the past day or so... Ive narrowed it down to two choices.... Whichever wheel choice i go with, the other wheel option will be going to be used on an SVO Stang.... I am not concerned with the roof issues, i think it gives the car more style IMO.... Option 1 Just a mild lowering, losing the fender gap... [/url Option 2 Not sure what this would be classified.... Most people use the term Pro-Touring loosely.... This would have to have the chassis narrowed a bit and tubbed in the rear to drop the rear down a bit more and not rub on the frame.... 1tim1 Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 It would be hard for me to make a decision, I like both equally. Option 2 has a more aggressive look and if I had enough skill to narrow the chassis and tub it, I think I would go with option 2
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 See thats what has me stuck Tim.... I like both sets equally, but i think i am gonna go with option 2....
slusher Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 James, l bet you like l am if l like a kit, it does not have to 100 percent accurate. Nice choice to have on those wheels both are awsume you can't go wrong. Your putting ot some nice work and l enjoy watching....
1tim1 Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Out of curiosity, where did you get the wheels for option 2? If you don't mind me asking
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 Thanks Carl, i appreciate the kind words... Tim, the rims came from a Dub City Diecast 1:32 scale
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 18, 2013 Author Posted August 18, 2013 I'm gonna go with the first set... Found a use for the second set... Which means another WIP...
JasonFL Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Have to say I like both options. First one looks good laid out like that but I was gonna say go with the 2nd set and slam that rear down some more. Either way it'll look sick. Love to see these slammed, not many people do them like that. Look forward to seeing the progress on it.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 Is been awhile since I've posted... Recently moved to Michigan and now I'm back...
