Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Since I decided on rim choice for the LX and I had this kit sitting in my stash that I had started last year , I decided to have a go at it... I had cut the hatch off and spent some time figuring out how to go about hinging it. It's hinged just like you'd hinge a door, but you have to slide it out a tiny bit so it will open and clear the edge of the roof.... I'm working on the engine now and mocked it up just to dry fit everything before painting. Chrome was stripped as well....
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Thanks guys... As far as color goes... I'd love to paint like this... But my paint skills will probably leave me with either these two....
Jeremy Jon Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Ultra low stance, those wheels look like maybe from a Jada car? The tailgate has a '79-82 rear wing on it, why not keep the twin plane SVO wing? Looking forward to seeing more!
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 He rims came from a Dub City car...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 Man, I almost couldn't find this... Been a long while since I've worked on this... The LX has long since been finished... So I pulled this one back out and got the interior, chassis, and engine finished... And the body was painted...
slusher Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Looking really sharp James. Great color. Beautiful blue paint. Glad you kept the 4 cyl...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Getting a bit closer... Gonna make the rear glass and quarter window glass now...
