crazyjim
Completed this puppy this afternoon. I used HOK cobalt blue as a basecoat and then shot a couple coats of HOK burple kandy, and then 2 part clear. The kit interior was weak so I made some door panels, high back buckets and a console. I wanted to my work so I cut out the roof panel and glued in a piece of acetate. Those little round grilles in front - they were drilled out and made into turn signals. I cut out all the chassis plastic away from the frame rails and glued in a flat piece of plastic. And yep, those are the muffler clamps that I did a tutorial on. John Goschke
Good job on a troublesome kit!
crazyjim
Thanks, John. The kit wasn't much hassle. The roof section needed a little putty to blend it in. The worst part was the frame. I suppose I didn't have to, but I cut out all the plastic between the rails because the kit has a single exhaust molded in. charlie8575
Great colors and I like that antenna. Charlie Larkin
crazyjim
Thank you, Charlie. Antenna was easy. Drill a hole. Glue a piece of Evergreen tubing inside and a flat piece to block the end. When the body is finished, glue in a straight pin with the head down. Decide how tall you want the antenna and cut it off. Put a dab of Micro Krystal Klear on the tip, let dry and paint to your choice.
