Hi guys,

here's my latest build, still on the 70ies way I'm building this year, a 79 GMC Caballero Laredo from MPC. Laredo is the a finition level with this two tone paint scheme.

I had to modify the body with some molding line to have this paint scheme, also work on the rear license plate as it's much deeper on the original car.

Red color is from Suzuki, paint with the aero on a silver base. I've had some flocking and seat belt on the interior.Wheels and mirrors are form my parts box. I've put the optional front spoiler to give it a sporty look.

Lets show you more pics :

Hope you'll like it.

Also, maybe I post it on the wrong topic, as it's a pick up, well, it's half a car half a pick up... Anyway let me know.....

That looks very nice! That's a model I seldom see displayed anywhere. The way you did the chassis reminds me of how I use to apply rust - proofing in the late '60's. Great work on both.

Great looking Caballero ! Your trim work on the sides looks right on . :)

I agree with you that it's more car than truck and should be allowed here , but there are some who don't agree . It will be moved . :(

Thanks for the nice comments, no problem if this topic move on the pick up truck section ;)

Looks great! The shot with the El Camino though, the Camino is an 81. The Caballero had the identical grille to the El Camino, just the nameplates were different. Hot Wheels made a mistake in branding their later El Camino as an 80 but the grille actually is for a 79.
